Do not use retouch software in the production of shots for models

Posted by: admin  :  Category: models, Photography

I am now raising the question of how often do you use this software in the production of model shots, my answer is to use it little if any. My shots are not basically retouched as far as the models face, and features, if you are not a good enough photographer in the area of lighting the subject  and composition then you need ot learn how to do it right and not depend on software to pull you out. The exception is in the green screen special effects shots and I use Photoshop to craft and retouch some of the green screen bleed over to can sometimes get, your lighting can be perfect, but still for some reason you can have issues.

The issue that is my great concern is if you use this retouch software, and you take out the defects in the models face and this is sent to an ad agency they are gong to believe her face is perfect like this all the time, and hire her based on the retouched photograph, and when she arrives and her features are not perfect it is going to be the model who pays the price. I am really concerned in the push I see in this software, now your regular clients I think this is great, but for a model you could be actually causing her problems.
